Getting to know Charles Day

Charleston Day Was born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan where he graduated from Pontiac Central High School. He furthered his education by studying music and theology at Madonna University, and Birmingham Bible Institute, Mr. Day worked for many years in the Pontiac School District serving as the Dean of Students, and Site Director for a School-wide After-School Program called “Project Synergy” and as the Head Football Coach.

Mr. Day has received several awards from the City of Pontiac & Detroit for his outstanding work with youth. He founded a character education and prevention program called “It’s-N-The Male” for boys ages 11-17. Charleston’s musical background has allowed him to organize college choirs, win awards, and travel the country. Mr. Day served as the High School Administrator for Westside Christian Academy in Detroit. as well as Head football coach and Football Defensive Coordinator. West-side won the National State Championship in 2010 & 2013 in their division and was # 4 in the country.

Charleston mentors several young men in and outside the State. He serves on the Board of Directors for Incarcerated Youth Ministries and Project-U-Turn. He is the founding member of a national recording group, “The Gideon Crew” which has been seen via television in over 8 countries and performed in over 93 prisons in the U.S. He is currently serving as the Director of City Life Detroit and Juvenile Justice Ministry with Detroit Metro Youth for Christ. And as Senior Pastor of The R.O.A.D. Church in the city of Detroit. Charleston has been married to his beautiful wife Michelle for 21 years and has 1 daughter Paris and two grandchildren Aiden and Logan.
